Supplementary Table I: BLASTX results

The table includes 11,217 records from BLASTX searches of each cDNA sequence against the NCBI non-redundant database.  The fields in the table are:

Clone_name              Unique sequence identifier

GB#                            GenBank accession number into dbEST

Gene_ID                     GenBank Accession number of best BLASTX match (missing entries reflect sequences of low quality which were not submitted)

Description                Defline for best match

Organism                   Organism of best match

HSP                            BLASTX HSP score (not a bit score)

Probability                  Probability of match

Identity                        Percent Identity of match alignment

Len                              Length of match alignment

Frame                         Translational reading frame of alignment

Code                          Annotation code assigned based on putative function

Entry_date                 Date record was entered into the database

Source                        Clone set: I or II

Supplementary table II: Contig assignments

This table lists the contig numbers and the Clone_names assigned to each contig by the assembly program PHRAP.  There are 7567 records for the 1569 contigs.  The table has 2 fields:

Contig                         The contig number

Clone_name              Unique sequence identifier
