Bhaskara G.B., Nguyen T.T., and Verslues P.E. Unique Drought Resistance Functions of the Highly ABA-Induced Clade A Protein Phosphatase 2Cs.
The legend for Figure 2C omitted information about the age of seedlings transferred to low water potential (Ψw) stress treatment and included incorrect information about the time of sampling for fresh weight measurements. The corrected Figure 2C legend should read: Five-day-old seedlings were transferred to a high-Ψw control (−0.25 MPa), an intermediate Ψw (−0.7 MPa), or more severe low-Ψw (−1.2 MPa) treatment. Fresh weight was measured 8 d after transfer to the high-Ψw control and 10 d after transfer to the low-Ψw treatment. Data are means ± se (n = 3–5) combined from two to three independent experiments. Significant differences between the mutant and the wild type (P ≤ 0.05) are indicated by asterisks.
The original conclusions of the article are unaffected by this change. For other seedling low water potential experiments in this study, 7-d-old seedlings were transferred to stress treatment, as described in the “Materials and Methods,” and sampling was performed 96 h after transfer unless otherwise indicated. For assay of ABA inhibition of root elongation, 4-d-old seedlings were transferred to ABA-containing plates, as described in Figure 6C legend.
