On the Cover: Medicago truncatula has become a model system for genomic studies of symbiosis. In this issue is the first report of a genome-wide analysis of nodule-specific transcripts. Fedorova et al. (pp. 519-537) demonstrate the utility of the in silico approach in identifying 340 organ-specific transcripts from symbiotic root nodules of M. truncatula. The in silico approach is validated by macroarray hybridization and RNA blot analysis.
