About the Cover
On the Cover: The cover of this Arabidopsis Special Issue devoted
to Plant Systems Biology uses the analogy of electrical circuitry to
depict the complex network of molecular components interacting
to function as a whole plant system. With genomic and computational
tools now at our disposal, Plant Systems Biology seeks to
extract and incorporate the maximum amount of information concerning
interacting genes and proteins, towards the design of
predictive models. The electrical circuitry represents the need to
embrace today's high-powered technological tools, using an engineer's
systematic approach to unveil the complexity of component
interactions in a plant system. The cover has been prepared by Ms.
Jocelyn Brimo (University of California, Riverside).
