On the Cover: The cover of this issue shows confocal laser scanning micrographs of diverse subcellular localization patterns, e.g., nuclear, perinuclear, peroxisomal, cell wall, cell membrane, proplastid, cytoskeletal, and cytosolic, of a variety of fluorescently-tagged full-length Arabidopsis proteins. The tagged genes were expressed from their native promotors in various plant cell types and organs, such as guard cells, tapetal cells and megasporocytes, stigmatic papillae, roots, hypocotyls, cotyledons, and leaves. This high-throughput gene tagging approach is especially useful for characterization of the Arabidopsis proteome.
