About the Cover
On the Cover: The cover of this Focus Issue on Plant Databases symbolizes the cross-references between the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) and various plant and non-plant databases. UniProt, a joint project of forces from Europe, the United States, and Japan, is providing a single, centralized resource for protein sequences and functional information. Acting as a central hub for biomolecular information, it gives access to more than 60 other resources, including community databases, public repositories, and journal articles. The cover displays a small selection among all of the existing cross-links, and we would like to thank the organizations that have accepted to see their logos included in this figure.
