The total number of unique genes identified as being within the coregulated chromatin domains as genes ordered in their native chromosomal locations (ordered genes), compared to the situation where all genes are randomized in their relative positions (randomized genes)

The organ-specific gene expression data from 17 organs versus tissue types were used in the calculation, with a chromatin domain window size of 10 genes. Calculation of the chromatin domains is based on a recently reported method (Spellman and Rubin, 2002).
