Rates of O2 evolution (μmol mg Chl−1 h−1) were determined in pH 7.3 (MOPS-KOH) buffer at 20 μm (V20), 50 μm (V50), and 4,000 μm (V4000) NaHCO3. Relative Ci affinity was calculated as ratios: P20 = V20/V4000 and P50 = V50/V4000. Vmax = V4000.
